Tamar Braxton Is Ecstatic As She Gets Engaged To Her Dream Man
The “Just Kickin’ It” singer seems to have made the right call after deciding to appear on the “Queen’s Court” reality dating series in the hopes of finding love. According to People Magazine, Braxton successfully bagged the perfect man for her on the show, in the final episode of the Peacock dating show which is yet to air.
Opening up to her attorney partner, Robinson, she said, “I knew I was different than my siblings. I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever prayed for as a child.”
Although all the singer initially searched for was love, it dawned on the star that she needed something else. She explained, “I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t. I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me.” Meanwhile, Robinson on the other hand wanted to be more than friends with the four-time Grammy nominee.
He said to her during the proposal, “I’m not only willing, I’m ready. So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband.” The CEO of Rags 2 Riches Logistics then dropped to one knee, adding, “Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you. I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me”?
Seeing as they were about to make a life-changing decision, the singer asked Robinson if he was sure, to which he replied, “absolutely sure.”
Overwhelmed by the response, Braxton became teary and nodded “yes’ to her future husband. She playfully added, “Now you got to tell my son and my baby daddies.”
The entertainer happens to have a nine-year-old son, Logan, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Vincent Herbert. While Robinson, a divorcé himself, has five kids with four different women.
The dad-of-five who entered “Queen Court” in the first episode bonded with the “Understanding” singer over the loved ones they’ve lost. The singer’s older sister Traci Braxton died in 2022 after battling cancer, and the attorney’s mother also died from the same disease.
Their grief intensified their connection, with Robinson revealing that he saw a hummingbird at his mother’s funeral while Braxton shared that her sister said she would become a hummingbird after her death.
Additionally, an update after the show confirmed that the couple is still together six months later, and currently planning their wedding.
Braxton Confirms Her Engagement On Social Media
Following the reports by the publication, Braxton broke silence on her engagement, dedicating a tribute to her newfound love in honor of her birthday on March 17 on Instagram. She shared a heartwarming video of her and Robinson enjoying drinks at a restaurant before the attorney gave a sweet shoutout for her 46th trip around the sun.
Looking thrilled to be next to the woman of his dreams, Robinson declared they were going to have fun in New York, Atlanta and Miami, before dedicating all his love to Braxton. In the accompanying caption, the “Love and War” songstress gave fans an insight into the love they share.
“It’s my birthday but I have to post the one who puts this cheesy smile on my face,” she began. “It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, Traditional love is the kind that I wanted and needed.”
The “Braxton Family Values” star revealed that she and Robinson would have a blended family consisting of six kids who “mean EVERYTHING” to her. She also urged fans to miss her with the news of her fiancée having four baby mamas.
“We are blessed And drama free thank God for my best friend, life partner and fiancée @rarebreednola the happiest birthday to me ever my ❤️ don’t miss our whole love story on @peacock #queenscourt,” she concluded the sweet message.
Before her new bubbling romance with Robinson, Braxton was formerly engaged to Nigerian actor David Adefeso. The pair went on to date for two years and later disclosed their engagement in 2020. Unfortunately, they broke things off after Adefeso accused Braxton of domestic violence.
